Abdalaziz Alhamza “RBSS”
Several reasons urged people to marry their daughters to ISIS fighters, starting from the fear people have about their female relatives from a first side, to poverty from the second side and the loyalty to ISIS from the third side. Girls’ reactions were very different, some of them preferred death. Fatima Al Abo, 22 years old, refused to marry from a Tunisian fighter and committed suicide.
In another incident, a father from Raqqa told RBSS:” Due to poverty, I was not able to secure my family’s need of food and clothing, one fighter asked to marry my daughter and he gave a large dowry, I had to say yes, my daughter and wife did not accept. At the first night, my daughter killed her husband, the fighter, and ISIS executed her. I killed my daughter”
Hadeel, a young girl in her twenties, said:” Female fighters from Al Khansaa battalion convinced me of marrying a Canadian fighter who has left the terrorist group and fled out of Syria, and now I am alone with a child in my womb.”
Bushra, another girl, was not in a better situation, she said:” My brother recruited in the terrorist group and forced me to marry from an ISIS fighter from Raqqa who died in Kobani, at the time I was pregnant, when I gave birth my brother forced me again to marry from another fighter, I feel that I am like inherited belongings.”
